At Academics PreKindergarten we’ve put a lot of thought and hard work into building the right environment for your toddlers. We engage your child in frequent play using toys such as blocks, stuffed animals, and books. We prioritize providing a clean and safe educational environment for your children.
Some childcare spaces are designed around loud, bright colours and fill their environments with displays and artwork, to create a busy environment.
Our school tones and colours are calming. Neutral walls offer the right backdrop to focused displays. The environment is designed to minimize distraction and maximize focus.
Each Academics PreKindergarten school consists of classrooms, a studio, a library, an art room, secure outdoor play areas, a cozy parent room, offices and an on-site kitchen.
Our PreK 1 teachers focus fine motor skills for writing, expanding their vocabulary for reading, row counting and shapes for math as well as fun and exciting sensory activities for Science.
Everyday our PreK1 students are embarking on a new journey, continuously expanding their knowledge. At Academics PreKindergarten, all of our classrooms have built in child-friendly washrooms, and our teacher help and support your child during the potty-training process and reaching their goals.

CORE Academic Curriculum
Our Core Academic Curriculum are the subjects that we focus on to build a solid foundation for your child’s formative years. These building blocks are: Math, reading, writing and science.

Math expands your child’s thinking skills by encouraging them to find solutions in creative and unique ways. We teach Math using tools like BeeBots, IXL, Number Sense routines, Chess and Art.

Reading is a vital skill that leads to brain development and better concentration, strong vocabulary and language skills, and heightened imagination and empathy. Reading is taught with a focus on Synthetic Phonetics, Word Walls, Sight Words, and Routine Reading.

Writing enables children to communicate and convey thoughts, emotions, points of view, and ideas. We teach writing using Handwriting Without Tears.
Writing:
Science is a tool that early learners use for establishing their understanding of how the world works. Academics uses the STEM method, experimentation, and technology for teaching science.

About our PreKindergarten programs

Academics offers an innovative curriculum-based program, Academics EDGE, for children between the age of 10 months & 5 years old. Academics EDGE is structured learning through investigation, experience and purposeful play. We focus on promoting the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of each child. At Academics Prekindergarten, we are changing the way Daycare is delivered in Surrey. Academics PreKindergarten offers programs for families who are interested in specialized arts and sports, such as piano, martial arts and golf. These programs are available during the school day, and offer parents both convenience and quality through private or small group lessons with qualified experienced staff.
