About our PreKindergarten programs
Academics PreKindergarten, our preschool in White Rock, will open in July of 2023 in the brand new Foster Martin Building complex. This new school will span 2 floors and offer two rooftop playground areas and commercial kitchen along with multiple classrooms and multi- purpose studio.
Whether your little one is just starting to walk and talk, or almost ready for kindergarten, their time at Academics PreKindergarten will prepare them for the road ahead, mixing fun with learning in a safe, warm, secure environment.

Your little one has many years of learning ahead. To get the most out of kindergarten and the years to follow, they will need to feel secure and comfortable in their learning environment. Academics White Rock provides a secure, supportive experience that allows them to develop their social, intellectual and emotional skills alongside other children and teachers. During classroom time, your child will learn about relating to and interacting with others to develop their confidence as they build relationships. Our Academics EDGE program was created with Early Childhood Education experts from across the globe and addresses the needs of your child at each stage of development. Our fulltime daycare options stimulate and educate
Over the next few years, your child will increase their vocabulary from about 900 words to 2,500.
They will begin forming increasingly complex sentences and understand more advanced ideas. They will wonder how things work and why, will have an understanding of past and future events. Your child will actively seek answers to their questions. Our program will help your child develop their language and communication abilities while engaging in play, science, and art.

Application Fee
A non-refundable $200 application fee must accompany all applications.
Security Deposit
Security deposit is required for enrollment each school year and is the cost of one month tuition per
child. Our school year runs from July 1st to June 30th. The security deposit will be applied as tuition
payment for the last month (June) of enrollment of the school year enrolled.
School Uniforms
We are pleased to partner with Cambridge Uniforms. Cambridge Uniforms offers online shopping and direct shipping to homes. A sizing kit is available at school.
The Academics PreKindergarten South Surrey Online Access Code for the Cambridge Uniform Website is: ICS123
One complete Cambridge uniform package is mandatory for your child. This package will include:
- One shirt
- One rain jacket
- One sweatshirt
All other items will be optional.

While you may think of PreK in terms of slightly older children, your 10-month-old is learning every day and Academics PreK helps them use their 5 senses to understand the world around them. I was born in New York and came to Canada when I was a year old. I completed my Early Childhood Education in 2010 and have been in the field for over 10 years. After babysitting my little cousins, I’ve always known that I wanted to be a Teacher. What I love most about being a Teacher, are the lessons that they teach us adults; having patience and having no judgement.
I joined Academics Royal City in the beginning of 2018 and have enjoyed every moment. My 1 year old son has recently joined the Academics family and is starting to enjoy being at school. In my spare time, I love going on walks with my son and our dog and watching movies.
