Why are books so important to introduce to children?
Books are full of vocabulary, ideas, information, imagination and can teach many lessons.
Children’s books often include artwork. They encourage the development of literacy, comprehension, language skills and unite the visual and the abstract.
Repeat the same books often with your children. Early readers will improve their reading speed, gain confidence and strengthen the neural connections being made in their brain!
As parents, reading is an opportunity to bond, listen, ask questions and spend one on one time. A perfect part of a bedtime routine, it quiets the mind and gives us a moment to circle back to our children at the end of our day.
