AN Innovative School
Academics PreKindergarten is an innovative school for children under five, with five locations in the Greater Vancouver Area, growing to seven by Spring 2023. Our uniquely designed programs focus on the whole child’s development, including their physical, social, cognitive, and emotional well-being.

Our Academics EDGE program provides your child with the proper education that is tailored to meet their specific needs.
CORE ACADEMIC CURRICULUM
Academics PreKindergarten isn’t just about getting children ready for kindergarten. Educational experts and industry leaders around the globe have come together to ensure our learning model provides successful child and family development. EDGE includes indigenous reconciliation and anti-racism practice as well as trauma-sensitivity based programming.
The subjects that make up our Core Academic Curriculum provide a solid basis for your child’s learning. The four building blocks we cover are:
Math: Math enhances your child’s problem-solving skills and helps set them up for academic success in elementary school and beyond. Among the tools we use to teach math are BeeBots, IXL, Number Sense routines, chess, and art.
Reading: Reading is key to your child’s early academic success, develops a love for learning, and promotes good grades in all subjects. Students learn to read using a combination of Synthetic Phonetics, Word Walls, Sight Words, and routine reading.
Writing: Writing experiences provide endless opportunities that benefit cognitive development, comprehension, and motor skills. Our program uses Handwriting Without Tears.
Science: Science teaches children how to explore and become curious about the world around them. We use the STEM method, experimentation, and technology for teaching science.
